The Past Indefinite Tense is used to describe an action that was completed in the past.

यह भूतकाल में पूरी हो चुकी क्रिया को दर्शाता है।

अगर वाक्य के अंत में था / थी / थे, आया, गया, किया, खाया जैसे शब्द हों, तो वह अक्सर Past Indefinite Tense होता है।

English:
Subject + V² (past form) + Object

Hindi:
